REFLECTIONS – Inspiration is everywhere
Welcome to the grand opening of my new blog! And what better way to kick things off than with a tale that’s as intriguing as it is true.
This story has been waiting in the wings for decades, tucked away in Anna’s personal papers, which we unearthed after her passing in September 2020. Hidden among them was a Chicago Tribune article from January 27, 1980 authored by John O’Brien.
‘Countess Anna’ was my roommate during the last two years of her life. No one was more gobsmacked than I was to discover that the woman I thought I knew was more of a well-crafted character than a real person. This blog post, affectionately dubbed “The CON-tessa” was inspired by the aforementioned article.
Absolutely fascinating to find this out.
